Weekend movie

On Saturday we saw Admission with Tina Fey. I really liked it- it made me laugh a lot, and I loved all the different story lines woven in. I thought it was a really interesting movie. I'd like to see it again someday after I've forgotten about it- I generally don't remember details about movies, so it's always a new experience the second time! We also stopped to sit in the Audi Rs7 and S5. They are beautiful dreamer cars.

Big news

Rosie's wearing a clip! This is a big deal for our little baldie blondie baby! She is excited too, as you can see.

I just bought this beautiful picture book by Nancy Tillman for little Rose. The words mean so much to me. It is amazing how love can always be with us,  no matter how far apart we are--it is such a powerful thing. I love the beautiful pictures too.

Weekend Getaway

Raimo and I haven't been on a getaway since before Rose was born. I have been wanting to go--I love having special time with Raimo (found out that quality time is my top love language from the book). We went to Irvine for a couple of nights, spent a morning walking on Laguna beach looking at the water and talking. We had lunch at the Crab Cooker, walked around the Spectrum and shopped, and just relaxed. Both nights we turned in early to watch tv in bed-- we never get to do that! We ate at Cheesecake Factory one night , and took home Jack-in-the-Box the next night. We had a great time just relaxing. Wish we could do it more often.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

This made me think in my scripture study what is the abundance of my heart? What are the things that have my heart the most?

Also, I was feeding Rose breakfast and she pointed at my shirt and said 2.. 3... I couldn't figure out what she was counting. Then she pointed and said ABC. I realized she was recognizing the big letters across my shirt. I was excited to see her recognizing what letters are (even if she has no idea which are numbers and which are letters)! I can't believe how often she surprises me with new things she knows.

Today at the doctor we got her new stats for 19 months:
21 pounds (5th %)
31 inches (20th%)
47 cm head (50th %)

She is growing and developing just right. She had to have 4 shots and did NOT like that!
